A Start-up That Aims To Solve Child Hunger In NYC
I came to Columbia Business School after having gone through a life-changing experience. Back in 2014, I was hit by a car while crossing the street. After surviving that and reassessing life, and really thinking about what have I really done? What problem have I really solved? I remember I had done some volunteer work through my old firm with City Harvest. And I also remembered thinking, how can one of the richest cities in the world also be home to roughly half a million children that face hunger every single day. It’s a devastating statistic.
So after the accident, I told myself I would dedicate my time and career, whether it’s contributing or helping solve a problem, this is one of the things that I wanted to solve.
