New York City and SIPA Helped Me Discover Emerging Markets
I’ve made a career for over thirty years, looking at developing countries and trying to figure out which were pursuing policies that would be successful for those countries. The fact that I have been doing it for so long is, I think, a testament to the durability of a SIPA degree. It’s almost like I have never left SIPA – I have done research projects with students that have snowballed into teaching commitment, I hire dozens of interns and some full-time employees from the school, I’ve tried to help with strategic planning by being on the board of several committees; anything I can do.
Watch Peter Marber, Head of Emerging Markets Investments, Loomis, Sayles & Co., discuss his personal continued involvement with SIPA over the past 30 years below.
